Let it Snow!

Yes, it's the favorite topic of complaint these days in this fine city. Montrealers are sick of snow - all 340+ cm of it so far. Perhaps I am new enough to the region that I still love the stuff. Apparently, I did not have enough of it growing up in the Midwest U.S. I know it creates hassles and can be a bother and even a danger, and yet I can't help feeling that if you live in a northern clime, its what you get. Besides, there are benefits: beefing up the water table for one, and affording those of us who enjoy winter sports (including my pup) ample time to partake of them. So, for those of you not finding enjoyment in this latest "downpour" - hang in there, spring will be here in another two months and until then, there are many great indoor things to do in Montreal, including using the Metro system instead of trying to shovel out the car.
